In this URBNFit review, we'll examine their exercise balls in particular, and you can decide if they're the right fit for your needs.

Using an exercise ball offers a wide range of health benefits, such as enhanced muscle tone, improved spine and back health, better posture, and greater core strength. Let's find out if Urbnfit is right for you.

URBNFit Exercise Ball Review Summary:

Pros: Extremely durable, excellent for the price. Wide selection of colors and sizes. Great for a wide range of activities. Highly recommended.

Bottom Line: URBN Fit Exercises balls are one of the best on the market. Besides being affordable, the exercise balls are made from high-grade anti-burst and slip material, making them perfect for home-gyms or casual use.

Un-Boxing Your Urbnfit Ball:

The company ships these exercise balls in a neat, lightweight package, that includes the following items:

  • Exercise Ball
  • Paper Exercise Sheet (for some simple home-workouts)
  • Extra Plugs
  • Hand-held Pump (similar to pumps used for party-balloons)

Besides meeting the specifications mentioned earlier, URBNFit's exercise balls come with other great features.

For example, the balls come in a wide variety of colors and sizes, such as: black, grey, purple, red, pink, and more. But that's not all.

There are five sizes of exercise balls available, suitable for a wide range of activities.

Sizes:

  1. 45 cm
  2. 55 cm
  3. 65 cm
  4. 75 cm
  5. 85 cm

So there is something for practically every body type!

When you first purchase an exercise ball, there are a few initial steps you must complete to inflate the ball and make sure it's working correctly.

URBNFit makes the process incredibly simple, but there are a few things that you need to know. When un-boxing the package I noticed a few things...

As mentioned earlier, there's no need to worry about inflating the ball as it comes with a hand-held, dual action pump, which can inflate the ball in a matter of minutes.

The extra plugs are great too, in case you lose one, there are several spare plugs you can use. It also includes a pump remover. FYI: A spoon works just as well to pry out the plugin when you want to deflate the ball.

How to Use URBNFit Exercise Ball:

You'll be happy to know the kit includes a sheet of exercise examples you can use, though some people have reported the exercises seem rather advanced.

  • Yoga
  • Pilates
  • Chair
  • Stretches
  • Etc.

Either way, whether you're looking for an exercise ball for Yoga, Pilates, to use as a chair, or for physical therapy, URBN Fit's exercise balls have got you covered.

These fitness balls are perfect for a home gyms. I noticed the ball works great as an office chair as well.

Exercise Ball Health Benefits:

Exercise balls can be a lifesaver for your back and spine, especially if you sit in an office without much physical movement. Most physical therapists and personal trainers recommend having at least a couple exercise balls in your home for quick work outs and stretches.

Finding the right exercise ball for your needs can often be tricky, as it's not a one-size-fits-all situation.

Every person is different. What works for your Yoga instructor might not work for you, and if you choose to use an exercise ball that doesn't meet you personal requirements, it could make matters worse.

Budget exercise balls are often not recommended as they quickly deteriorate or burst while in use, which can lead to injuries. Thankfully, URBN Fit designs exercise balls that go above and beyond.

The company offers a wide range of exercise accessories and equipment, the most popular of which is the exercise ball.

Does Leak Air? - Very Little

One major concern people have with exercise balls is the amount of air leakage over time. Will you have to add air on a daily basis? While there is a small amount of air leakage, it's nothing to worry about.

In most cases, additional air is required after the initial use, otherwise, if the ball is regularly used, you may need to refill it up every couple months. Overall, you don't need to worry about pumping more air into the ball. The plugs work great.

Does it Use Latex? NO

You would assume these exercise balls are made from Latex, but actually they're made from a durable PVC material.

Though Latex is acceptable for most fitness equipment, it can also cause allergic reactions in some people. Not to mention it can have a strong smell too. And the dust can be bad for kids.

Thankfully, URBNFit's exercise balls do not contain Latex. The PVC material is professional grade and extremely durable, and it rarely irritates skin.

Anti-Burst Material:

If you ever used an exercise ball before, it takes awhile to overcome the fear of the ball randomly bursting while in use.

Even though you have probably heard some horror stories, it's unlikely that the URBNFit's exercise ball will burst, unless punctured by a sharp object.

In that regard, it's important to take necessary precautions when using these exercise balls.

You should also be aware of the weight restrictions. Generally, the larger the ball, the more weight can be applied to it. Check weight and size requirements before you make a decision.

URBNFit's exercise models in particular are labeled as 2000 pound resistant.

URBNFit Exercise Ball Pros:

There are a number of things I like about URBN Fit exercise balls, but if I had to choose my favorite features, these are them:

1. Extremely Durable and Stable:

As mentioned before, most people are scared of exercise balls because they imagine the ball slipping out from under them.

But after using the URBNFit exercise ball, as I realized how durable and stable it is, those feelings quickly disappear.

The ball is so stable, even pregnant mothers regularly use it.

2. Wide Selection of Colors and Sizes:

It's always great to have a choice. URBNFit offers a wide range of colors and sizes, so it's easy to find something that suits your personal preference.

Hint: Pink exercise balls make great gifts for girls!

3. Eliminate Back-Pain:

As you know, I'm always on the look-out for products that can eliminate back pain.

(Read my guide on how to eliminate chronic lower back pain here)

And I have found exercise balls are excellent at eliminating lower-back issues.

You can use them to perform a wide range of stretches and exercises!

If you need something more, I love The Invertabelt. Created by a physical therapist that specializes in back pain.

Here's our Invertabelt Review if you'd like to read more about how this product allows you to perform mild traction and prolonged stretches to the lower back to get rid of chronic lower back pain. You'll also learn how to care for your back for the long term, simply by using the product.

Conclusion on URBNFit Balls:

To summarize this URBNFit review, if you're looking for an excellent professional-grade, durable, and budget exercise ball, I highly recommend URBNFit exercise balls.

I own one, and I use it on a regular basis, and plan to purchase a larger one too.

As a matter of fact, I recommend purchasing a couple of different sizes, each for a specific activity. For the price, it's hard to beat.

Thanks for taking the time read this URBNFit exercise ball review.

  1. Hi Todd. After reading your review on the URBNFit Exercise Ball, I found a solution to my problem. We have a home gym. My 5-year-old girl wants to exercise with me. But I do not understand what he will do to exercise. After reading the review I decided to give him the URBNFit Exercise Ball. It is also a useful thing for adults as well. Available in different sizes and colors will be more deliberate. It is good to know that it is made of durable PVC material instead of Latex and its price is also affordable. Thank you very much for this beautiful review. With best compliments, Ranao

    1. Hey Ranao,

Thanks for your kind feedback on our review and I’m happy it could help occupy your son. Urbanfit exercise balls are great for kids and adults. Although you might want to supervise the kids. Everyone, in my opinion, should have a couple of these balls around for when you may need them for therapy or for recreational activities.

      Thanks,

      Todd

  2. URBNFit indeed. This article is informative. While reading this review, my mind just goes to my Uncle. It makes me remember how he struggles with back pain after hectic work in the office. I am the one who suffered most in helping him massaging his back. Very bad, both of us never for once thought of an exercise ball. Now that am away from him, I’ll do him a favor by introducing URBNFit exercise balls to him. After checking how it works for him, I can also get a couple of my own for me and my hubby. How can one know the exact ball that suits ones weight?

    1. Thanks for your feedback on our Urbnfit exercise ball review. These types of balls are a blessing for back pain. I love to lay back on mine and stretch back wards. Then with a gently twist to the right/left with my upper body and I can get my back to crack and realign itself.

As for sizing the balls, they have a height guide on the product itself that can be helpful. I’ve found this doesn’t work for everyone though.

In general, if you sit on top of the therapy/exercise ball, you should have a slight decline in you hip angle so that your knees are lower than your hips by about 3-4 inches.

In my experience, it’s best to use the height guide, then adjust once you get on the ball and start doing some exercises.

I personally have 3 different sized balls and they’re all great to work with depending on the exercise you’re doing.

  3. Hi,

I did’nt know there where so many sizes of the exercise ball. I’ve only used the big one. Can you make a post describing the various exercises with different ball sizes? I’m curious as to what exercises can be done.

I enjoyed the article and found it very informative in terms of looking at all the aspects one might consider when picking an exercise ball.

    1. Hi Claudia,

We’ll have to put together a post or video. Therapy balls are pretty simple and I’d encourage you to just start getting on one and playing with it. We are going to do a review on another therapy ball that has 13 exercises printed on it and I’ll link it to this review when it’s completed. Thanks for your feedback on our Urbnfit exercise ball review.

      Best,

      Todd

  4. Thanks for sharing this article on the URBNfit exercise ball. I have been searching online for an exercise ball ever since I have heard about it from a friend. It is really good to exercise with it as it is beneficial to having good health and relief of body and muscle pain. I will make an order tomorrow on this one. No doubt your article came in time to answer some of my questions and meet my needs. Thanks a lot

    1. You bet and happy to help. I’ve been happy with my urbnfit ball for over a year now. Looks brand new and functions just like I bought it yesterday.
